Did you say drive-thru wedding? That’s right! This beautiful couple decided to tie the knot back in February—just before the world turned upside down. A few weeks later, the coronavirus brought about significant changes in the wedding world, transforming their original plans into something no one could have predicted: a drive-thru wedding.
As if planning a wedding wasn’t stressful enough, Marissa and Meachem also had med school on their plates. Between studying, lockdowns, and last-minute changes, these two handled it all with so much grace (and laughter).
Their original wedding venue ended up being the perfect setup for this creative pivot—a charming house at the end of a quiet street. Friends and family drove by to honk, wave, and celebrate from their cars. It was sweet, emotional, and totally unforgettable.
The best part? Even though it looked different than they imagined, their day was filled with joy, connection, and so much love. Sometimes, the unplanned moments end up being the most meaningful ones.
Marissa and Meachem showed that even during a global pandemic, love doesn’t wait—it just gets a little more creative. From heartfelt vows to cheerful drive-by toasts, their wedding was a true reflection of what matters most: two people choosing each other, no matter what.
These two met at church—a classic Utah love story—and it’s clear they’re a perfect match. My best friend and her new hubby are seriously the cutest. I couldn’t be happier to have captured such a unique and meaningful moment in their story.
Even though 2020 changed so many things, this wedding proved that love always finds a way—sometimes even through a drive-thru window.
